How returns work on Dripscan: As a marketplace, each independent seller handles their own returns. This page explains your rights and how to request a return. Most sellers offer 14-day returns in line with UK Consumer Rights.
Your Right to Return
Under UK Consumer Rights Act 2015, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving your item(s), for any reason. This is known as the “cooling-off period.” You then have a further 14 days to return the item.
This applies to all purchases made on Dripscan, regardless of the individual seller’s policy. Sellers cannot offer less than these statutory rights.
How to Request a Return
Step 1: Contact the Seller
Go to your order in your Dripscan account, or use the contact details in your order confirmation email. Let the seller know you wish to return the item and the reason why.
Step 2: Get Return Instructions
The seller will provide their return address and any specific instructions. They may provide a prepaid label or ask you to cover return postage (unless the item is faulty).
Step 3: Send the Item Back
Pack the item securely in its original packaging if possible. Keep proof of postage — we recommend using a tracked service.
Step 4: Receive Your Refund
Once the seller receives and inspects the item, they will process your refund. This typically takes 5-10 business days to appear in your account.
Return Conditions
To be eligible for a full refund, items must be:
- Unused and in the same condition you received them
- In original packaging with all tags attached
- Returned within 14 days of notifying the seller
Items that show signs of use, damage, or washing may be subject to a partial refund or rejection.
Items That Cannot Be Returned
Some items are exempt from returns under UK law:
- Personalised or custom-made items — Made specifically for you
- Perishable goods — Food, flowers, etc.
- Hygiene products — Unsealed cosmetics, skincare, underwear, earrings
- Digital products — Once downloaded or accessed
- Sealed items — If unsealed after delivery for hygiene reasons
Individual sellers may have additional exemptions listed on their product pages. Please check before purchasing.
Return Shipping Costs
Changed Your Mind
If you’re returning an item because you changed your mind (not faulty), you are typically responsible for return postage costs. Some sellers may offer free returns — check the product page.
Faulty or Not as Described
If your item is faulty, damaged, or significantly different from the listing, the seller must cover return shipping costs and provide a full refund including your original delivery charge.
Refund Timeline
Once the seller receives your return:
- Inspection: 1-3 business days
- Refund processing: 1-2 business days
- Bank processing: 3-5 business days
Total time: approximately 5-10 business days. Refunds are issued to your original payment method.
Faulty Items
If your item arrives faulty or damaged, you have the right to:
- Within 30 days: Full refund
- Within 6 months: Repair or replacement (refund if not possible)
- After 6 months: Repair or replacement (you may need to prove the fault was present at delivery)
Contact the seller immediately with photos of the fault. If they don’t respond or refuse to help, contact Dripscan support.
Exchanges
We don’t currently offer direct exchanges. To get a different size or colour:
- Return the original item for a refund
- Place a new order for the item you want
This ensures the fastest service as items may be low in stock.
Disputes
If you’ve contacted the seller and cannot resolve your issue:
- Wait 48 hours for the seller to respond
- If no response or unsatisfactory resolution, contact Dripscan support at in**@******an.com
- Provide your order number, details of the issue, and any communication with the seller
We will review the case and may issue a refund from our Buyer Protection fund if the seller has violated our policies.
Cancelling Before Dispatch
If you change your mind before the seller has dispatched your order, contact them immediately. If they haven’t shipped yet, they can cancel and refund your order in full.
